Lost and Found Mojos (Sewing/Paper)

It has been a while since I've posted and at the "suggestion" of a co-worker (she knows who she is...lol), I am updating my poor, neglected blog.

I'm just not "feeling" the quilting/sewing mood these days (or months!) and so I've been spending more time paper crafting. I've been working on a mini envelope album, and I am really enjoying the process. Ideas aren't coming to me as quickly as I'd like but still I'm really liking working with paper again. My goal is to have this mini finished and in the mail to Calif. by this weekend.

I constructed the little envelope album with #10 envelopes as the pages, covering them with designer papers and embellishing with everything from a frame to adage tickets to a slider card. I've embossed, glittered, and created torn pages and completely "grunged" up the mini with distress ink around all the edges. Charms and final embellishments are pending and I've yet to finish making tags for the pockets created by the envelope pages. Oh, and I still need a cover title for my mini. So far, I like "Grandkids: Flowers from Life's Garden". Now if I can fit it all on that tiny page!...lol. Here are some photos:

I've also been trying my hand at making flowers from scrapbook designer paper. I love Graphics 45 papers and purchased a few sheets while we were at The Queen's Ink in Savage recently. Hubby was there for a class on making Patera charms and I had to tag along, of course. Patti (proprietor) was kind enough to allow me to use her die cutting machine to cut some flower shapes. While Hubby made charms, I made flowers. Here are a few:

I'm working on another album, which I'm not ready to share yet but when it's done I'll be sure and post AFTER the recipient has had a chance to see it.

In the meantime, I'll take advantage of the paper mojo for as long as it hangs out with me. Maybe sometime soon, my sewing mojo will return, although it would have been nice if it had returned with all the snow we had recently!

Stay warm, stay safe!
